Southland FC Was Created from the merger of two local soccer clubs (United Select Soccer Association & Dabrico United Futbol Club). Each of the Clubs founding fathers met and proposed a merger. This merger allowed the club to field multiple teams in each division. January 2014 marked the club's completed merger and was renamed Southland FC. This newly united power allows the club to create superior teams and compete against top level clubs that was not possible before. USSA (United Select Soccer Association) was officially founded in 1998 and was the combination of Bourbonnais Bombers, Old Mill Soccer, and Manteno Soccer. USSA Started with 3 teams and was founded by Rollie Szilard, Blair Minton and Gene Younker.
DUFC (Dabrico United Futbol Club) Dabrico  United Futbol Club was officially founded in 2007. The first team was formed from an Old Mill Tournament team. The club quickly grew. The Founding Father was Efrain Davila.
Southland FC has grown and now consists of 18 teams over 9 different age groups. Southland participates in both IWSL (Illinois Women's Soccer League) and NISL (Northern Illinois Soccer League).

 Club Members,

Excellence on and off the field is a fundamental strategy for Southland FC in our community. To help us take the next step in this pursuit we are proud to announce our new partnership with Global Image Sports (GIS) & English Premier League Club, Stoke City FC. This partnership became obvious due to our shared values of developing good players and good people. Southland FC strongly believes in the Stoke City coaches and the positive influence they can have on all our members in terms of player development, coaching education and the marketing of our organization. This partnership will be the first of its kind in our community and we are very excited to explore new opportunities that would help our players progress to the next level.
What does this partnership mean for Southland?
  • Stoke City Coaching Clinics for our coaches both in our community and opportunities to learn overseas.
(Courses will be open to the community)
  • Youth and College ID Camps led by Stoke City Coaches.
(ID Camps give our players the opportunity to showcase their talents and compete for a chance at the Stoke City National ID Camp. At the national camp players compete for a chance to travel, train and play at the Stoke City Academy in England)
  • Yearly European Team Tours
(The club will reinvest camp revenue and issue fundraisers to make trips more affordable for selected players)
  • Stoke City Training Curriculum
(Our coaches will be trained using the Stoke City Academy system, meaning they will follow practices plans provided by the Stoke City Staff to ensure the proper progress of each player in our club. This curriculum ensures accountability of our coaches who will be evaluated on a yearly basis)
  • Yearly Player Evaluations from Stoke City Coaches
(Players will be evaluated at our id camps)
The clubs first order of business for this year is to schedule a coaching clinic during the summer. Our plan is not only to build our organization but to build the community as well, and therefore the clinic will be open to everyone who wants to coach or improve in their craft. This as a benefit for the entire community. Coaches will have a clear vision on player development. Dates to be TBA within the coming weeks.
